Press release (short version)
Gallery visitors are invited, as is customary, to the opening of the exhibition the first day. But on this day, guests will be greeted by a surprise, a conceptual surprise awaits in the gallery. This event, in which the public are involved in a performance, marks the start of the exhibition. With this action the audience will for a moment be in the artist’s situation – a situation where artists and audiences share the same starting point : An empty room to be filled.
During the exhibition’s second day the artists begin to work inside the gallery. The gallery will over the next few days to stay open longer hours and later than usual as the opening hours are determined by the artists’ working hours. The gallery is transformed into a studio, while the studio – workplace, will be a showroom. Based on the idea that art to a degree is always site-specific the project aims to see what happens when we lift off the studio´s secure base – from the process. The exhibition is an experiment to investigate what happens to art and the work when we change the basic premises.

As part of the show photographer Per Englund documented the working process and produced five 24 page booklets in five days inside the gallery.
He also documented the documentation by pointing a surveillance camera towards himself, which broadcasted live on the publisher’s website (svenskbokproduktion.se). On August 19 the public was invited back to take part of the the finished result of the five days work. The handmade booklets were displayed and sold in a slipcase in an edition of 25 numbered copies.

Installation/performance for Tombola parksalong 2012.
The structure is made out of 36 individual pieces of wood to that are put together with the help of a blueprint drawing. The structure is made in way that makes it very hard to balance and the often slow process of collapse begins before you’ve put the last bit in place. A sculpture that moves and alters itself to eventually fall apart completly.
